  • 300 grams thinly sliced beef or beef trimmings
  • 3 small chunks fresh ginger
  • Green onions or scallions
  • Seasoning
  • 3 Tbsp sugar
  • 3 Tbsp sake
  • 3 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp vegetable oil

    Step 1
  • Chop up the meat. Julienne the ginger. Finely chop the green onion.
  • Step 2
  • Heat oil in a frying pan and first cook the ginger. Once fragrant, add the meat and continue cooking.
  • Step 3
  • Once the oil has coated everything, add the sake and the sugar. Briefly stir-fry.
  • Step 4
  • Remove the ingredients from the pan. Pour in the soy sauce and bring it to a simmer. Return the ingredients and cook in the soy sauce.
  • Step 5
  • Once cooked, add the green onion and lightly stir-fry to finish.
  • Step 6
  • If adding Japanese leek (naga-negi), add it in a little bit before the soy sauce.
