Ingredients: Agedashi Tofu (Fried Tofu)

  • 250 grams Tofu
  • 1 Katakuriko
  • 1 Mentsuyu (2x concentrate)

How to Make Agedashi Tofu (Fried Tofu)

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 5 steps you must follow to make Agedashi Tofu (Fried Tofu) in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Cut the tofu into 4-5 cm chunks and drain the water.
  • Step 2
  • Place the katakuriko and the tofu block from Step 1 into a plastic bag and shake to coat.
  • Step 3
  • Heat a good amount of oil in a frying pan and fry all sides of the tofu from Step 2.
  • Step 4
  • Once all the sides are fried and crispy, set on a paper towel to drain.
  • Step 5
  • Once drained, transfer to plates, pour on some mentsuyu, and enjoy. Season them as you'd like.
