Ingredients: Aloo Tikki

  • 3 arge potatoes, peeled, boiled and mashed
  • 3/4 cup frozen peas (uncooked)
  • 1/2 large onion, chopped
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, minced
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 2 tsp. garam masala
  • 1 tsp. cumin powder
  • 1 Tbsp grated ginger
  • 1 handful fresh parsley or cilantro leaves, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp bread crumbs (I used panko)
  • 4 Tbsp flour

How to Make Aloo Tikki

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 4 steps you must follow to make Aloo Tikki in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Once the potatoes have been boiled, mash them and add in all the other ingredients
  • Step 2
  • Form into patties about 8 patties
  • Step 3
  • Heat a little oil over medium-high heat and fry a few minutes on each side until golden brown. Drain and cool on paper towels.
  • Step 4
  • Serve with any kind of sauce you like but a good mango chutney or cucumber raita is great.
