  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar or 1 cup white
  • 1 cup coconut flakes
  • 4 oz butter
  • 1 tbsp golden syrup
  • 2 tbsp boiling water
  • 1 tsp baking soda

How to Make ANZAC biscuits

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 9 steps you must follow to make ANZAC biscuits in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Grease cookie tray and preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Step 2
  • Mix flour, oats, sugar and coconut flakes with a whisk.
  • Step 3
  • Melt butter and syrup over low heat.
  • Step 4
  • Add boiling water to baking soda. Mix well and remove from heat.
  • Step 5
  • Mix the liquid and dry ingredients well.
  • Step 6
  • Drop walnut sized spoon fulls of batter.
  • Step 7
  • Place on tray with room to expand.
  • Step 8
  • Cook for 12 to 15 minutes- just until golden brown. Let biscuits sit, five minutes, then move to cooling racks.
  • Step 9
  • Golden Syrup: Inverted sugar syrup thick in consistency sweet in taste.
