Ingredients: Apple Cider Chicken

  • 2 Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts
  • 2 cup Spiced Apple Cider
  • 1 tsp Dried thyme
  • 1/2 tbsp Dried Sage
  • 2 tbsp Unsalted butter

How to Make Apple Cider Chicken

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 7 steps you must follow to make Apple Cider Chicken in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Marinate chicken in apple cider for a minimum of 30 minutes. Reserve liquid.
  • Step 2
  • Heat pan over medium heat and add butter.
  • Step 3
  • Once melted, add chicken.
  • Step 4
  • With chicken in pan, season the side facing up with the thyme and sage. (At this point I also added a handful of whole cranberries to the pan, but that is entirely optional).
  • Step 5
  • Cook chicken until a nice sear has formed and it is golden brown. Flip and cook the other side. (This time will depend on the thickness of your chicken)
  • Step 6
  • Once both sides are browned, add reserved apple cider to pan and cover. Reduce heat to medium low and allow to simmer until apple cider reduces and forms a thick sauce (about 8-10 minutes)
  • Step 7
  • Serve chicken with apple cider reduction as a sauce. Pairs perfectly with my Rosemary Roasted Sweet Potatoes.
