  • 2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup butter (or one stick) melted
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 1/2 cup peeled chopped tart apples (about 2 small apples)

How to Make Apple Streudel Muffins

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 9 steps you must follow to make Apple Streudel Muffins in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Preheat oven to 375º.
  • Step 2
  • In a large bowl combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  • Step 3
  • In another bowl combine eggs, butter, cinnamon and nutmeg.
  • Step 4
  • Stir egg mixture into dry ingredients just until moistened. (batter will be stiff). Fold in apples.
  • Step 5
  • Fill greased or paper lined muffin cups 3/4 full.
  • Step 6
  • In a small bowl combine streusel topping as follows-1/3 cup brown sugar, 1 tbsp all purpose flour and 1/8 tsp cinnamon. Cut into 1 tbsp cold butter until crumbly and sprinkle over batter.
  • Step 7
  • Bake at 375º for 15-20 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Step 8
  • Cool for 5 minutes before removing from pan to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Step 9
  • In a small bowl combine the following ingredients for the glaze topping- 1 1/2 cup confectioners sugar, 1-2 tbsp milk, 1/4 tsp vanilla extract and 1/8 tsp salt. Combine all ingredients and drizzle over cooled muffins. Enjoy!
