Ingredients: Bacon & Ranch Potato Salad

  • 2 lbs Potatoes
  • 1 lb Smoked Bacon
  • 2 stalks celery, finely diced
  • 1 bunch green onions, finely diced
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 TBSP powdered Ranch mix (1 envelope)
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • 1/2 tsp dried dill weed
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • salt-2-taste
  • optional, you can add another teaspoon or 2 of ranch seasoning mix for a stronger flavor instead of salt.

How to Make Bacon & Ranch Potato Salad

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 4 steps you must follow to make Bacon & Ranch Potato Salad in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Cook bacon in smoker @ 350°F until crispy. Let cool then crumble and refrigerate until needed. Can be made a day or two in advance.
  • Step 2
  • Dice potatoes and cook in salted water until just tender. Be careful not to overcook. Drain and allowed to cool.
  • Step 3
  • In a large mixing bowl combine all the sauce ingredients, vegetables and bacon well. Gently add in the potatoes last and stir carefully. Mix well trying not to break up the potato chunks. Refrigerate at least 1 hour or overnight before serving.
  • Step 4
  • "Gently" stir to refresh and transfer to a serving bowl. Top with some reserved bacon bits and green onion tops.
