  • 500 grams mince
  • 1 slice bread (or more to make more / bigger meatballs)
  • 1 milk (to cover bread with)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp parsley
  • 1 cup cheese (any kind you like)
  • 250 grams streaky bacon
  • 8 toothpicks
  • 1 oil (for frying)

How to Make Bacon and cheese meatballs

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 7 steps you must follow to make Bacon and cheese meatballs in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Preheat the oven to 180C.
  • Step 2
  • Break the bread in big-ish pieces into a bowl. Cover with enough milk so the bread soaks up all the milk.
  • Step 3
  • Place the mince in a seperate bowl and add the salt, parsley and cheese. Mix well.
  • Step 4
  • Mash the bread with a fork to incorporate all the milk.
  • Step 5
  • Add the bread mixture to the mince mixture and mix well.
  • Step 6
  • Roll the mixture into balls and cover with bacon, secure with a toothpick.
  • Step 7
  • Pour oil into an oven save dish and place the meatballs evenly in the dish. Bake in the oven for 20 - 30 minutes or until the bacon is crispy. (You can fry them on the stove top as well but I find that they break easily.)
