Ingredients: Bacon and Chilli Pasta

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 slice middle bacon
  • 1 brown onion
  • 1 capsicum (red or green)
  • 1 tsp crushed garlic
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp basil paste
  • 1 tbsp hot chilli paste
  • sea salt
  • black pepper
  • 1/4 can hot water
  • 250 grams penne pasta

How to Make Bacon and Chilli Pasta

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 7 steps you must follow to make Bacon and Chilli Pasta in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Add pasta to salted water in large saucepan. Bring to boil and cook as per packet instructions.
  • Step 2
  • Heat oil in large fry pan. Add bacon and cook for 3 mins until Brown
  • Step 3
  • Add chopped onion and capsicum to fry pan
  • Step 4
  • Add garlic and fry for 30 seconds
  • Step 5
  • Add tomatoes, basil and chilli to fry pan. Add water and simmer on medium heat for 10 minutes
  • Step 6
  • Season sauce to taste.
  • Step 7
  • Drain pasta keeping some of the water. At pasta to fry pan along with some of the cooking water.
