  • 8 oz pasta of your choice
  • 8 oz bacon, diced
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 1/2 tsp dried oregano, divided
  • 8 oz tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp hot pepper sauce, optional
  • 1 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs

How to Make Bacon Mac & Cheese

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 7 steps you must follow to make Bacon Mac & Cheese in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Step 2
  • Cook pasta according to pkg directions, drain well.
  • Step 3
  • Meanwhile, cook bacon in large ovenproof skillet over medium heat until crisp. Drain.
  • Step 4
  • Add onion powder, garlic, & 2 tsp oregano to skillet. Cook & stir for 1 minute.
  • Step 5
  • Stir in tomato sauce & hot pepper sauce. Add cooked pasta & cheese to skillet. Stir to coat.
  • Step 6
  • Melt butter. Mix with 1/2 tsp oregano, & bread crumbs together. Sprinkle over pasta mixture in skillet.
  • Step 7
  • Bake until cheese is melted & mixture is hot & bubbly, about 5 minutes. Serve.
