  • 1 lb Canadian bacon
  • 1/2 lb Bacon
  • ***Rub***

  • 1 tbsp Brown sugar
  • 1/8 tsp Cayenne pepper (or a bit less)
  • Honey Glaze
  • **balsamic honey glaze **
  • 1/2 cup Honey
  • 1 tbsp Balsamic vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp Onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp Powdered ginger

    Step 1
  • If whole uncut Canadian bacon is unavailable in your local market you can use Ham as a substitute.
  • Step 2
  • Mix ingredients for a rub and set aside until needed.

  • If using wooden BBQ skewers soak in water for at least 1 hour.
  • Step 4
  • Cut Canadian bacon into bite-size pieces and season with rub.
  • Step 5
  • Wrap each piece of Canadian bacon with a 1/2 piece of bacon and secure on BBQ skewer and refrigerate until needed.

  • Set up your grill for Direct Heat.
  • Step 7
  • Make a grill shield out of heavy-duty aluminum foil.
  • Step 8
  • Mix ingredients for honey glaze and set aside until needed.
  • Step 9
  • Place the aluminum foil shield on the grill. Place the bacon wrapped in bacon and cook for 4 to 5 minutes per side (until the bacon is crisp). Rotate on the grill as needed watching for hot spots.
  • Step 10
  • When the bacon on the first side is crispy flipped over and cook for a couple of minutes.
  • Step 11
  • Glazed with the balsamic honey and continue cooking until the bacon is crispy on the second side. (you can move onto the aluminum foil shield if the flare ups are getting too big). Glaze with balsamic honey again and remove from grill.
  • Step 12
  • Let cool a couple of minutes before serving.
