  • 8 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 1/2 cup milk
  • 4 oz cream cheese (half a block)
  • 2 cup sharp cheddar
  • 2 cup mild cheddar and colby blend
  • 2 heirloom tomatoes sliced (I found them at Walmart!)
  • 1 cup panko bread crumbs

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 11 steps you must follow to make Baked Mac and Cheese with tomatoes in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Cook the pasta according to the box directions and drain
  • Step 2
  • Melt 4 tablespoons butter, add flour stirring to make a roux.

  • Add milk, stir until thickened.

  • Add cream cheese, stir to melt

  • Add the rest of your cheese reserving about a cup for top, stir until melted

  • Lay the sliced tomatoes over the cheese.(I sprinkled salt and pepper over the tomatoes)
  • Step 9
  • Melt the rest of the butter, mix in bread crums
  • Step 10
  • Sprinkle over the tomatoes
  • Step 11
  • Bake at 350 for about 30 minutes uncovered
