  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup softened butter
  • 2 eggs, well beaten
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 cups AP flour
  • 3 large over ripe bananas
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg

How to Make Banana Bread

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 5 steps you must follow to make Banana Bread in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Beat sugar, butter and eggs until well mixed. Mix soda into 3 Tbsp hot water and add to sugar mix. Blend well. Add 1 cup flour and salt, blend. Mash bananas and add to mixture, blend. Add remaining flour and vanilla. Blend well.
  • Step 2
  • Pour into greased loaf pan.
  • Step 3
  • Bake 375° for 45 minutes
  • Step 4
  • Cool in pan, then move to wire cooling rack until cooled completely.
  • Step 5
  • Store in an airtight container.
