  • 3 Very Ripe Bananas Mashed
  • 3/4 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Light Brown Sugar
  • 2 Extra Large Eggs (At Room Temp)
  • 1/2 cup Sour Cream
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1/2 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 1 Zest of One Orange
  • 2 cup Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/2 tsp Kosher Salt
  • Cream Cheese Frosting
  • 6 oz Cream Cheese (At Room Temp)
  • 6 oz Unsalted Butter (3/4 A Stick At Room Temp)
  • 2 1/2 cup Sifted Confectioners Sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla

How to Make Banana Cake

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 6 steps you must follow to make Banana Cake in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Preheat oven to 350°. In a mixer, combine all wet ingredients including the brown sugar and granulated sugar.
  • Step 2
  • Once the wet is mixed well, sift all dry ingredients together then add to the mixer on slow. Once finished, make sure all ingredients are mixed fully from the sides and bottom where they can occasionally clump.
  • Step 3
  • Pour into a lightly greased 9 inch round baking pan
  • Step 4
  • Place in the oven at 350° 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out of the center clean.
  • Step 5
  • Now get out another clean bowl to prepare the Cream Cheese Frosting.
  • Step 6
  • Mix the cream cheese, butter, and vanilla in the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment on low speed until just combined. Don't whip it. Add the sugar and mix until smooth.
