  • 2 Eggs
  • 100 grams Flour
  • 90 grams Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Baking powder
  • 100 grams Unsalted butter

How to Make Basic Madeleines

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 5 steps you must follow to make Basic Madeleines in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Sift together the flour, sugar and baking powder into a bowl. Add the eggs and combine (do not whip).
  • Step 2
  • Melt the butter in a pot, taking care not to burn it.
  • Step 3
  • Add the melted butter to the batter and combine with a wooden spatula. Add vanilla extract.
  • Step 4
  • Coat the madeleine pan with vegetable oil or butter and pour in the batter. Bake at 180℃ for 10~12 minutes.
  • Step 5
  • Remove the madeleines from the pan when they are still warm and place in a plastic bag. This will make them nice and moist.
