Ingredients: Battered fish

  • 5 fish fillet ( i used pollock )
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp club house salmon season
  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp lawrys season salt
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 2 cup water

How to Make Battered fish

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 3 steps you must follow to make Battered fish in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Cut the fillet in 4 peaces each and place in a bowl and season with the olive oil+ club house salmon season and lemon juice ..just gently rub the ingredients on the fish then set aside ... ( optional > you can sprinkle some black pepper on it as well ...I do )
  • Step 2
  • In a medium bowl add the flour + cornstarch + baking soda + season salt + salt + turmeric + paprika + onion powder mix altogether with a fork and gradually add your water mixing until you get a smooth batter
  • Step 3
  • In a deep frying pan on medium heat..heat your oil and once ready dip the fish in the batter and then in the oil ...fry for few minutes on each side ...(tip) > put your oven on @ 225 and place the fish on a baking tray to keep warm while the rest of your fish cooks ...enjoy !
