  • Asian Style BBQ Sauce
  • 1/2 cup Hoison sauce
  • 1 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Sherry
  • 1/2 tsp Sesame oil
  • 1/4 tsp Chinese 5 spice
  • 1/4 tsp Powdered ginger

How to Make BBQ Asian Beef Short Ribs

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 7 steps you must follow to make BBQ Asian Beef Short Ribs in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Mix marinade and marinated short ribs 24 hours.
  • Step 2
  • Set up your grill with a 3 Zone fire. A double thick layer of hot charcoal in the back, a single layer in the middle and a heat free zone with a drip pan in the front.

  • Remove short ribs from marinade and patch as dry as possible.
  • Step 4
  • Grill short ribs directly over the coals on the back of the grill. Rotate and cook on all sides until you have a nice brown crust.
  • Step 5
  • After browning all sides place on the front of a grill over the drip pan. Cook at 300F° 2+ hours.
  • Step 6
  • Mix BBQ sauce and glaze short ribs. Cook10+ minutes and glaze again. Repeat 2 to 3 more times.
  • Step 7
  • Let rest 10 to 15 minutes before serving.
