  • 3 1/2 lb baby back ribs
  • 52 oz beef stock
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 medium onion, quartered
  • 12 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 favorite bbq sauce

How to Make BBQ baby back pork ribs

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 8 steps you must follow to make BBQ baby back pork ribs in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • slice ribs into 3 or 4 rib portions and place in a large dutch oven.
  • Step 2
  • add beef stock, vinegar, onion, and garlic to dutch oven, making sure ribs are covered in liquid. (add water if necessary)
  • Step 3
  • slow simmer the ribs in the brine for 1 hour.
  • Step 4
  • preheat oven to 300°F.
  • Step 5
  • remove ribs from brine and place on a large sheet pan; salt and pepper to taste.
  • Step 6
  • place ribs in oven. After 30 minutes, remove ribs from oven and brush with bbq sauce. Place back in oven and cook for 20 more minutes.
  • Step 7
  • if grilling, grill bone side down over medium heat with lid closed. (same cooking times as oven) lightly smoke with sweet smoke such as apple or cherry wood chips for an added layer of flavor!
  • Step 8
