  • 12 large tortillas
  • 50 ml olive oil
  • 4 onions, cut in half and sliced
  • 4 green bell peppers, sliced
  • 2 kg beef steaks, cut into strips (sirloin or your favourite cut)
  • 1 1/2 liter Mexican sauce
  • 900 grams Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 8 tsp bbq spice
  • 1 Salt and pepper to taste

How to Make Beef Enchiladas

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 13 steps you must follow to make Beef Enchiladas in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Preheat oven to 220°C
  • Step 2
  • Brown onions and green peppers in a little bit of olive oil, then put aside
  • Step 3
  • Season steak strips with bbq spice, salt and pepper
  • Step 4
  • Fry steak strips in olive oil until cooked medium, then set aside
  • Step 5
  • Open tortillas
  • Step 6
  • Divide the Mexican sauce in half. Now take one half and put equal amounts of Mexican sauce in each tortilla
  • Step 7
  • Followed with equal amounts of onions and green peppers in each tortilla, using all the onions and green peppers
  • Step 8
  • Do the same with the steak strips
  • Step 9
  • Divide the cheese in half. Take one half and put equal amounts of cheese in each tortilla
  • Step 10
  • Roll up the tortillas and place them in a greased oven dish
  • Step 11
  • Cover them with the remainder of the Mexican sauce followed by the remaining cheese
  • Step 12
  • Bake them for about 25 minutes or until light brown
