  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • cooking spray
  • 1 whip cream (optional)
  • 1 powdered sugar (optional)

    Step 1
  • First 5 ingredients are for apple compote. Remaining ingredients for waffle.
  • Step 2
  • Melt butter in pan
  • Step 3
  • While butter is melting in pan peel, cut and core apples then place in butter

  • Add Brown sugar, cinnamon and vanilla to apples and butter. Cook for 8 to 10 minutes until apples are tender

  • Mix together dry ingredients for batter prep.

  • Spray waffle iron with cooking spray and pour on batter. Cook until Brown about 2 to 4 minutes each.
  • Step 9
  • Finally put a scoop of apple compote on top of waffle and sprinkle with powdered sugar. If desired serve with whip cream.
