  • 4 large onions, chopped
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 10 garlic cloves, minced
  • 4 can (28 oz each) crushed tomatoes
  • 7 can (15oz each) tomato sauce
  • 2 can (6 oz each) tomato paste
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup minced fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup dried basil
  • 2 tsp dried oregano
  • 2 tbsp italian seasoning

How to Make Big-Batch Marinara Sauce

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 4 steps you must follow to make Big-Batch Marinara Sauce in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • In a stock pot, saute onions in oil until tender. Add garlic; cook 2 minutes longer. Add the crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, cheese and herbs. Bring to boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 2-3 hours or until desired consistency, stirring occasionally.
  • Step 2
  • Serve desired amount over spaghetti. Cool remaining sauce, transfer to freezer containers. Freeze for up to 3 months.

  • Thaw in the refriigerator overnight. Place in a sauce pan and heat through.
