  • Meatloaf
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 large red onion, diced
  • 2 portabella mushrooms, diced
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup crumbled bleu cheese
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 3 tbsp Zatarains Blackened Seasoning
  • 1 egg, whisked
  • Buffalo Sauce
  • 4 tbsp hot sauce
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

How to Make Black and Blue Meatloaf

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 7 steps you must follow to make Black and Blue Meatloaf in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Preheat oven to 325°F.
  • Step 2
  • In a large skillet over medium heat melt the butter then add the red onions. Cook for about 10 minutes.
  • Step 3
  • Add mushrooms and cook for an additional 5 minutes or until onions are golden brown and caramelized.
  • Step 4
  • In a large bowl combine ground beef, egg, Worcestershire sauce, panko bread crumbs, cheese, Blackened Seasoning, and the mushroom and onion mixture.

  • Shape the mixture into a rectangular loaf on a sheet pan covered with foil. Bake in the oven for 1 hour (maybe more if needed).
  • Step 6
  • Combine melted butter and hot sauce to make buffalo sauce.
  • Step 7
  • Top meatloaf with sauce and serve immediately.
