  • 1 1/4 cup sugar (reserve 1/4 cup for crust)
  • 1/2 cup butter (melted)
  • 1 3/4 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 large box black cherry Jell-O (do not follow box directions)
  • 1 box (8 ounces) cream cheese softened
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 can (20 ounce)crushed pineapple drained
  • 1 (8 ounce) container of cool whip
  • 1 cup boiling water

How to Make Black Cherry Jell-O Cheesecake

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 6 steps you must follow to make Black Cherry Jell-O Cheesecake in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Preheat oven to 350°
  • Step 2
  • Mix together 1/4 cup sugar, graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Press into 9x13 baking dish. Bake for 15 minutes then cool completely.
  • Step 3
  • Boil 1 cup of water only for the Jell-O. Add water to Jell-O and stir until dissolved. Set aside and let cool for 15 minutes
  • Step 4
  • In a large bowl, cream together remaining sugar, cream cheese and vanilla.
  • Step 5
  • Add cooled Jell-O to cream cheese mixture and blend well. Add cool whip and blend well. Fold in pineapple.
  • Step 6
  • Spread mixture evenly over cooled crust and chill for 2 hours or until set. Sprinkle graham cracker crumbs lightly over dessert for garnish.
