  • 100 grams flour
  • 100 grams sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 for the frosting
  • 300 ml whipping cream
  • 100 grams chocolate ( chopped)
  • 6 glace cherries
  • 1 for the syrup
  • 150 ml water
  • 175 grams sugar
  • 2 tsp coffee
  • 2 tsp cocoa

How to Make Black forest

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 15 steps you must follow to make Black forest in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Preheat oven 180°C
  • Step 2
  • Beat eggs and sugar until stiff
  • Step 3
  • Sift flour and cocoa powder together
  • Step 4
  • Fold in flour mixture into the eggs gently
  • Step 5
  • Pour in a cake pan and bake for 15-20 min
  • Step 6
  • For the frosting:

  • Melt chocolate in microwave or in bain marie .leave to cool a little
  • Step 8
  • Whip cream and gradually add cooled chocolate until stiff
  • Step 9
  • Cover and refrigerate
  • Step 10
  • Make the syrup by boiling water and sugar till it dissolve. Add cocoa and coffee powder and stir well. Leave to cool.
  • Step 11
  • When the cake has cooled down , cut into 4 layers
  • Step 12
  • Drizzle syrup over each layer
  • Step 13
  • Frost the bottom layer and place another layer on top , frost and continue the same steps with the rest
  • Step 14
  • Decorate the top as desired
  • Step 15
  • Best serve chilled
