  • 130 grams Cake flour
  • 1/2 tsp Baking powder
  • 60 grams Butter
  • 60 grams Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 tbsp Milk
  • 100 grams Blueberries (fresh)
  • 10 drops Brandy

How to Make Blueberry Cake

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 9 steps you must follow to make Blueberry Cake in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Bring the egg, milk, and blueberries to room temperature. Sift the flour and baking powder together twice.
  • Step 2
  • Melt the butter in a double boiler (or in the microwave) and transfer to a bowl. Preheat the oven to 160°C.
  • Step 3
  • Add the sugar to the melted butter and mix with a whisk. Add the beaten egg and milk one at a time, mixing well with each addition. Sprinkle in the brandy.
  • Step 4
  • Change to a rubber spatula and fold in the blueberries.
  • Step 5
  • Add the sifted dry ingredients. Mix with a rubber spatula until not powdery anymore, but don't over-mix or kneed the dough.
  • Step 6
  • Spray oil onto the baking pan and use your fingers to spread it until coated (or you can line with baking paper).
  • Step 7
  • Pour the batter into the pan and smooth out the surface. Tap the pan's edges to remove the air from the batter.
  • Step 8
  • Bake at 160°C for 35 minutes. When a toothpick or skewer inserted in the center comes out clean, it is done.
  • Step 9
  • Remove the cake from the pan and let cool on a rack. Seal it in a plastic bag to prevent drying out.
