  • 1 Spice bag
  • Spice Bag
  • 1/4 tsp Corriander seeds
  • 1/4 tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 1/4 tsp Fennel Seeds
  • 1/4 tsp Caraway Seeds
  • 1/4 tsp Chili Flakes
  • 1 Star Anise
  • 1 Bay Leaf

How to Make Bobs Baked Beans

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 13 steps you must follow to make Bobs Baked Beans in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Soak the beans in a bowl of cold water for at least 8 hours (overnight is best)
  • Step 2

  • You can add more of the hot sauce or the Spices (crushed) to the tomatoes, if you wish. It depends how Brave or Foolish you are.
  • Step 9
  • In a 1 litre casserole dish layer the ingredients as follows a.layer of tomato sauce b.onion rings c.bacon d.beans
  • Step 10
  • Continue layering until you have a final layer of tomato sauce.
  • Step 11
  • Cover the dish with a disk of greaseproof paper and place a lid on the dish.
  • Step 12
  • Place the casserole on the middle shelf of the oven at 110 ºC for 5 hours (low and Slow is the key)
  • Step 13
  • Great on toast or a side dish with Cottage pie
