Ingredients: Bolognese sauce

  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 200 grams bacon or pancetta
  • 4 clove garlic
  • 4 small onion, chopped
  • 3 medium carrots chopped
  • 1 stick celery chopped
  • 500 grams minced beef
  • 500 grams minced lamb
  • 100 ml red wine
  • 2 large cans chopped tomatoes
  • 1 salt and pepper
  • 1 small cinnamon stick
  • 50 grams parmesan cheese

How to Make Bolognese sauce

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 3 steps you must follow to make Bolognese sauce in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Fry the onions, bacon, garlic, carrots anf celery until onions turn soft.
  • Step 2
  • Add meat (use beef only if you prefer a lighter sauce) and fry till brown then add wine and simmer until the liquid is reduced by half.
  • Step 3
  • Add rest of ingredients and simmer for an hour. Add the parmesan cheese to finish.
