Ingredients: Bourbon Based Salmon

  • 1 1/2 lb salmon fillets
  • 1 Marinade
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 to 4 tablespoons of good bourbon
  • 3 tbsp green onions, chopped small
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/2 inch fresh ginger,peeled and finely chopped

How to Make Bourbon Based Salmon

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 12 steps you must follow to make Bourbon Based Salmon in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • place salmon skin down in shallow baking dish, making sure it can lay flat.
  • Step 2
  • remove any bones
  • Step 3
  • in a small bowl mix all ingredients of the marinade.
  • Step 4
  • pour marinade over fish and let it sit in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  • Step 5
  • turn the fish over so the skin is up, and refrigerate for another 30 min.
  • Step 6
  • take the salmon out and brush with a little vegetable oil.
  • Step 7
  • put on a medium hot grill Skin side up.
  • Step 8
  • cook 4 to 5 min. to get nice grill marks.
  • Step 9
  • if you , lift and turn 45┬░ and grill for another 4 to 5 min.
  • Step 10
  • fish is done when you can easily slide the fish off the skin.
  • Step 11
  • when you flip the fish over the second time baste with a little of the marinade.
  • Step 12
  • this can be served hot or cold!
