Ingredients: Bourbon Pecan Pie

  • 3 eggs, large
  • 3 1/2 oz brown sugar
  • 6 oz golden syrup
  • 4 tbsp butter, melted and slightly cooled
  • 1 1/2 tbsp bourbon
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 10 oz pecans (8 oz chopped/2 oz whole)

How to Make Bourbon Pecan Pie

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 9 steps you must follow to make Bourbon Pecan Pie in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Have a prepared pie crust at the ready. If you want to make homemade crust, search my recipes for flake pie crust (that is recipe I used for this pie in pictures)
  • Step 2
  • Preheat oven 350°F. For filling:

  • Whisk together eggs, sugar, golden syrup, butter, ,bourbon, vanilla, and salt together. Set aside for a few minutes.
  • Step 4
  • Evenly sprinkle 8 ounces of chopped pecans in the prepared pie crust.
  • Step 5
  • Pour filling over pecans. It will fill in between pecans. Some of the oceans will float a little.
  • Step 6
  • Bake for 20 minutes.
  • Step 7
  • Remove from oven and place remaining 2 ounces of whole pecans around border of crust. Return to oven.
  • Step 8
  • Bake another 10 minutes, until the center is set and a sewer inserted in center comes out clean.
  • Step 9
  • Cool on wire rack. Enjoy!
