  • 1 1/2 tsp cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup bourbon
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
  • 1 pinch of salt

How to Make Bourbon Sauce

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 8 steps you must follow to make Bourbon Sauce in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Whisk cornstarch and 2 tablespoons bourbon in a small bowl until well combined.
  • Step 2
  • Heat cream and sugar in a small sauce pan over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
  • Step 3
  • Whisk in cornstarch mixture and bring to a boil.
  • Step 4
  • Reduce heat to low and cook until sauce thickens, 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Step 5
  • Take off of heat.
  • Step 6
  • Stir in salt, butter and remaining bourbon.
  • Step 7
  • Drizzle warm sauce over ice cream.
  • Step 8
  • *Sauce can be refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 5 days. Reheat on stove top.*
