  • 4 tbsp bacon fat
  • 2 tbsp coarse salt
  • 2 tbsp pepper
  • 6 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 3 cup brown sugar

  • Add bacon fat to pan and melt over medium high heat.
  • Step 2
  • Add onions and cook until soft.
  • Step 3
  • Add Apple cider vinegar. Cook down and then blend together.

  • Put ribs in large foil pan.
  • Step 6
  • Pour liquid over to cover ribs plus a bit more to line pan.

  • Remove excess liquid from pan. Save for next step.
  • Step 9
  • Take liquid and put in medium saucepan. Skim grease off top and discard. Add another cup brown sugar.
  • Step 10
  • Bring to boil then simmer.
  • Step 11
  • Put ribs under broiler until top starts to bubble. Brush sauce on then return to broiler.
  • Step 12
  • Repeat step 11 until ribs are rich brown color.
  • Step 13
  • Remove ribs carefully using two tongs. Cut into 2-3 rib slabs.
  • Step 14
  • Serve and enjoy!
