  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 tsp vinegar, white, apple or lemon juice
  • 2 cup All-Purpose Flour (you could also use whole wheat flour for part of the 2 cups)
  • 4 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/3 cup Oil

How to Make Buttermilk Biscuits

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 9 steps you must follow to make Buttermilk Biscuits in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Preheat oven to 425┬░
  • Step 2
  • Combine milk and vinegar. Stir. Set aside.
  • Step 3
  • In a bowl, put in all dry ingredients. Stir with a wisk.
  • Step 4
  • Make a well in the center and pour in milk and oil. Stir to combine.
  • Step 5
  • Sprinkle a teaspoon of flour over dough and gently knead or fold the dough with spoon. Repeat once or twice until dough is much less sticky.
  • Step 6
  • Prepare a cookie sheet with Pam or Parchment Paper. Drop dough onto cookie sheet 2 inches apart.
  • Step 7
  • Bake for 8 - 9 minutes.
  • Step 8
  • Option: You can also add shredded cheddar cheese. Add the cheese to dough at end. Fold in. Drop on a cookie sheet and put a pinch of cheese on top.
