  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 6 lb Bread Dough
  • 1 dash Salt
  • 1 dash Pepper
  • 8 cup Water
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 head Cabbage
  • 1/2 White Onion
  • 4 cup Flour (to roll dough on)

How to Make Cabbage Burgers

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 13 steps you must follow to make Cabbage Burgers in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Let dough rise. Either in fridge overnight or method of your choice.
  • Step 2
  • Preheat oven to 350°F
  • Step 3
  • Brown ground beef in pan.
  • Step 4
  • While beef is cooking, finely shred cabbage and onion together in food processor.
  • Step 5
  • When beef is done and cabbage and onion are shredded, put all 3 in a large pot.
  • Step 6
  • Add water and boil over medium heat.
  • Step 7
  • Add sugar, salt, and pepper to taste. Feel free to add more of any of these 3 spices to your taste.
  • Step 8
  • Let boil uncovered for about half an hour.
  • Step 9
  • Roll out dough into 6" diameter circles.
  • Step 10
  • Using a large spoon, place cabbage and beef mixture into the center of the dough. Leave an inch or two of dough around the edges.
  • Step 11
  • Pinch dough together in shape of your choice. I personally make them into turnover shapes.
  • Step 12
  • Place on nonstick baking sheet and bake for 20-25 mins.
  • Step 13
  • Let cool & enjoy!
