  • 2 Broccoli slaw- 3 cups
  • 2 tbsp Lime or Lemon Juice
  • 1 tsp Splenda sweetner
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • Dressing Spread
  • 1 1/4 cup Hellmanns Mayonaise
  • 1 tsp Louisiana hot sauce
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp Slap-Ya-Mama Cajun Seasoning
  • 4 hard sub or hoagy rolls

How to Make Cajun Po Boy's

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 9 steps you must follow to make Cajun Po Boy's in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • In a large bowl, combine cornmeal, flour, salt & black pepper, and thyme...set aside...
  • Step 2
  • Dip fish or shrimp in egg mixture ; then into the flour mixture; repeat dipping 2x.. then fry for 3 minutes and drain on paper towels.
  • Step 3
  • In a medium bowl mix together slaw, lime or lemon juice, salt & black pepper and splenda sweetener. Also set aside.
  • Step 4
  • In a small bowl mix together mayonnaise, hot pepper sauce, garlic powder, and Cajun seasoning...Set aside...
  • Step 5
  • Split hoagy, hard or sub roll...then spread both sides of roll with some melted butter & garlic powder...then stick roll into a 250° preheated oven and bake for 5 minutes......."Always make This sandwich with crackling crusted bread...."
  • Step 6
  • Spread mayonnaise mixture on both sides of roll.
  • Step 7
  • Lay choice meat on bottom of roll.
  • Step 8
  • Top meat with slaw.
  • Step 9
  • Then put the top half of roll on and Cut In half diagonally and serve.
