Ingredients: Cake Balls

  • 1 box of your favorite cake mix.
  • 1 can of your favorite cake frosting.
  • 2 packages Of Milk or Dark Chocolate Chips OR Colored Candy Melts.
  • 1 packages Pastel Colored Candy Corn OR Regular Candy Corn (To make them look like sunflowers)
  • 1 small tube of any color frosting OR mini M&Ms for flower center.
  • 1 Eggs & Oil required for cake mix.

How to Make Cake Balls

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 9 steps you must follow to make Cake Balls in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Bake cake as directed on the box. (I used a white cake mix)
  • Step 2
  • Let cool completely and crumble entire cake into a large bowl.
  • Step 3
  • Add 1/2 of the frosting container to cake crumbles and mix together. (I used a hot pink frosting)
  • Step 4
  • Form into golf ball sized balls and place onto a prepared cookie sheet. (Use cooking spray or parchment paper).
  • Step 5
  • Freeze balls for about 45 mins or until firm.
  • Step 6
  • Melt chocolate chips or candy melts in a double boiler.
  • Step 7
  • Remove balls from freezer and coat them in chocolate.
  • Step 8
  • While chocolate is still tacky, place candy corns on top in a flower pattern and use frosting in tube or mini M&Ms for the flower center.
  • Step 9
  • Place back in freezer to set.
