  • 1 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cup firm packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted (1 stick)
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 tbsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 14 oz caramels, unwrapped(1 package)
  • 1/4 cup milk

How to Make Caramel Cinnamon Bars

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 9 steps you must follow to make Caramel Cinnamon Bars in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Mix flour,baking powder,cinnamon and salt. Set aside
  • Step 2
  • Mix brown sugar, butter, eggs,vanilla and pecans in large bowl until well blended.
  • Step 3
  • Add flour mixture and mix well. Reserve 1cup of this batter.
  • Step 4
  • Spread remaining batter into a lightly greased foil lined 13x9 inch baking pan.
  • Step 5
  • Bake in preheated 350°F oven 15 minutes or until firm.
  • Step 6
  • Microwave caramel and milk in a bowl on high 2 to 3 minutes or until caramels are completely melted stirring after every minute. Cool 5 minutes or until slightly thickened.
  • Step 7
  • Pour over baked layer in pan, spreading to within 1/2 inch of edges.
  • Step 8
  • Drop reserved batter by spoonfuls over caramel and cut through batter with knife several times for a marble effect.
  • Step 9
  • Bake 15 to 20minutes longer until center is set. Cool in pan before cutting into bars
