  • 1 cup Brown sugar
  • 1 Pre baked pastry case
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 tbsp Melted butter
  • 1 tbsp Plain flour
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 tbsp Icing sugar

How to Make Caramel tart

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 7 steps you must follow to make Caramel tart in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Preheat oven to moderate
  • Step 2
  • Seperate eggs, keeping whites and yolks in seperate bowls until needed
  • Step 3
  • Place sugar and flour in a saucepan. On low heat, mix to a paste with a little milk. Continue stirring and add butter, egg yolks and remaining milk
  • Step 4
  • Stir over low heat until caramel commences to thicken. Stir vanilla into mixture
  • Step 5
  • Place mixture into pastry case top with beaten egg whites and a little sugar
  • Step 6
  • Place in moderate oven for approx 20 mins until top has browned
  • Step 7
  • Prior to serving dust with sifted icing sugar. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream
