Ingredients: Celeriac Soup

  • 1 medium celeriac
  • 1 onion, cut any way you like
  • 2 slices bacon, roughly chopped
  • 15 g butter (1 Tbsp)
  • 2 Tbsp whole grain mustard
  • 2 sprigs thyme (fresh if possible)
  • Coriander or parsley
  • Water
  • Salt and pepper

How to Make Celeriac Soup

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 5 steps you must follow to make Celeriac Soup in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Melt the butter in a pot and cook the onions on low heat. Once the onions become translucent, add the bacon and continue cooking.
  • Step 2
  • Cut the celeriac into bite-sized pieces and add to the pot together with enough water to completely cover everything. Cook until softened and add the thyme.
  • Step 3
  • Once the celeriac has cooked, mix in the whole grain mustard and stop the heat. Allow to cool.
  • Step 4
  • Once it's cooled a bit, add the coriander or parsley, and blend it in a blender. If it's a bit thick here adjust it by adding a little water.
  • Step 5
  • Reheat before eating and enjoy.
