  • 3 Portobello mushrooms
  • 2 Cod filets
  • Italian style bread crumbs
  • 1/3 cup shredded sharp cheddar
  • 1/3 cup cream cheese
  • 1/3 cup shredded Colby Jack
  • garlic powder
  • dill weed
  • thyme
  • lime juice
  • butter

How to Make Cheesy Cod Stuffed Mushrooms

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 5 steps you must follow to make Cheesy Cod Stuffed Mushrooms in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Preheat oven to 300°F and shred Colby Jack and cheddar. Add cream cheese and bread crumbs to cover. I used about 1/3 cup. Remove stems from the mushrooms.
  • Step 2
  • Butter frying pan and start cooking fish on medium low heat, just until you can separate it fairly easily. While cooking sprinkle with garlic powder, dill and thyme. Add lime juice now as well.
  • Step 3
  • Microwave cheese and bread crumbs for about 30-40 seconds, and mix it all up. (It will be thick, and you can make cheese patties with it, to the size of your mushrooms.)
  • Step 4
  • Place a small amount of butter in the mushrooms where the stems were. Now top with fish and cheese patties.
  • Step 5
  • Place in the oven for 10-15 minutes. Done. (You may cook it longer, depending on how done your fish is, but the cheese won't really melt down)
