Ingredients: Cherry Cobbler

  • 4 cup sour cherries
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 tsp almond extract
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • dash ground cloves
  • dash ground cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup cream
  • 5 tbsp butter
  • 1 packages betty crocker oatmeal cookie mix

How to Make Cherry Cobbler

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 7 steps you must follow to make Cherry Cobbler in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Preheat oven to 350°. Pour cherries into 4 qt saice pan on med heat.
  • Step 2
  • Add the following ingredients and stir frequently until it begins to boil.
  • Step 3
  • Once cherries begin to boil and starts to thicken remove from heat stirring well. Set aside.
  • Step 4
  • Grease 9x9 pan and pour cherries into it.
  • Step 5
  • Mix cookie mix (I only use about 2/3 of the mix but if you use a bigger than 9x9 pan you'll want that extra dough) with a fork adding cream and butter, chunking butter up as you drop it in.
  • Step 6
  • Cookie mix will begin to ball up. Start spooning it out onto the cherries. Spread out with fingers to cover top if needed.
  • Step 7
  • Put into preheated oven for about 30 minutes. Cookie crust will look golden and cherries will be bubbling through. Enjoy! Serve with vanilla ice cream if you like!
