  • Dough
  • 2 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup margarine (1 stick)
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 dash salt
  • Cherry Filling
  • 2 cup frozen dark sweet pitted cherries (or 12 oz can)
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon

How to Make Cherry Pockets

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 6 steps you must follow to make Cherry Pockets in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Mix dough ingredients together to form smooth dough. If too difficult wet your hands.
  • Step 2
  • Mix the filling ingredients.
  • Step 3
  • Roll out dough to 1" thickness.
  • Step 4
  • Using 3 1/2" cookie cutters and 2 3/4" cookie cutters cut out 12 circles of each size.
  • Step 5
  • To assemble: place tbsp cherry filling (2-3 cherries) on 2 3/4" circles. Then cover with bigger circles and seal edges well. Its ok if dough cracks it will look nicer.
  • Step 6
  • Bake on 350¤ until golden brown around 15-20 minutes. Once cooled sprinkle confection sugar ontop.
