  • 4 lb sirloin tip roast (boneless)
  • 1 large jar of pepperoncinis
  • 3 packages Italian dressing mix (packets by the salad dressing)
  • 1 can beef broth
  • 10 large Kaiser rolls (or hoagies if you prefer)
  • 10 slice Provolone cheese

How to Make Chicago Italian Beef Sandwiches

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 3 steps you must follow to make Chicago Italian Beef Sandwiches in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Pour a little beef broth in the bottom of your crockpot. Put roast in and sprinkle dressing mix on top. Pour in jar of pepperoncinis (including juice) and remaining beef broth. If you needed to buy a couple smaller cuts of meat to equal 4 lbs, just layer them like this.
  • Step 2
  • Cook in crockpot on low for 8-10 hours.
  • Step 3
  • After meat is cooked, gently shred with two forks. Then preheat boiler. Put meat on rolls and top with cheese. Broil until cheese melts, 3 or 4 minutes. Enjoy!
