  • 10 Chicken wing drumettes - the large end of the wing
  • 1/2 Daikon radish
  • 400 ml Water
  • 1 tsp Dashi stock granules
  • 2 tbsp Sake
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Mirin
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Miso

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 5 steps you must follow to make Chicken Drumsticks & Daikon Radish Simmered with Miso & Soy Sauce in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Pour the oil in the pan and start cooking the chicken drumsticks, skin side down. When they start to brown, flip and continue cooking.
  • Step 2
  • Add the daikon radish. Shake the pan to coat everything with the oil. Drizzle in the sake and add the water and dashi stock granules. Continue cooking.
  • Step 3
  • Skim off the scum. When the daikon radish is cooked through, add the sugar and mirin and simmer for 5 minutes (use medium-low heat). Put the lid on!
  • Step 4
  • Add the soy sauce and simmer for 10 minutes. Finally, add the miso and let it dissolve.
  • Step 5
  • When you're ready to eat it, heat it again and add daikon leaves for color (if you have them).
