Ingredients: Chicken fried tofu

  • 3 tbsp nutritional yeast flakes
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp parsley
  • 11 tsp poultry seasoning

How to Make Chicken fried tofu

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 7 steps you must follow to make Chicken fried tofu in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Slice tofu into small bite sized pieces. I had triangles and squares.
  • Step 2
  • Place tofu pieces in shallow container and cover with chicken broth. Cover and refrigerate overnight or at least one hour. Turn frequently.
  • Step 3
  • After tofu is done marinating mix together flour, nutrients yeast, seasoning together. Mix well with fork.
  • Step 4
  • Place oil in shallow frying pan. Heat on high.
  • Step 5
  • Place tofu pieces in seasoning mix, double dip or triple dip and place in frying pan. Cook 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
  • Step 6
  • Remove chicken pieces with tongs or chopsticks. Place on paper towel atop wore rack.
  • Step 7
