  • 3 quart Sauce pan
  • 4 cup Chicken broth
  • 1 cup Chopped onions
  • 1 cup Sliced carrots
  • 1 cup Sliced celery
  • 1 tsp Crushed dried basil
  • 1 tsp Crushed dried oregano
  • 1 tsp Ground black pepper
  • 1 Bay leaf
  • 1 cup Dried noodles
  • 2 cup Chopped cooked chicken

How to Make Chicken Noodle Soup

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 4 steps you must follow to make Chicken Noodle Soup in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • In the 3 quart sauce pan, mix the chicken broth, chopped onions, sliced carrots, sliced celery, ground black pepper, crushed dried oregano, and bay leaf.
  • Step 2
  • Bring the broth to a boil, then reduce heat. Cover the pot and let simmer 5 minutes.
  • Step 3
  • Stir in the dried noodles and bring the broth back to a boil. Then, reduce the heat. Cover pot and let simmer for 8 to 10 minutes (or until the noodles and veggies are tender).
  • Step 4
  • Remove and discard the bay leaf. Add chopped chicken (or turkey). Continue until meat is heated through. Serve and ladle with basil leaves.
