Ingredients: Chicken Teriyaki

  • 200 g chicken things(Cut into bite size pieces)
  • *2 tsp potato starch (or corn starch)
  • *1 tsp soy sauce
  • *2 tsp sake
  • *1/2 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 tsp vegetable oil
  • Teriyaki sauce (mixed in advance)
  • 2 Tbsp soy sauce and mirin
  • 1 1/2 tbsp sugar
  • 3 Tbsp sake
  • Shredded shiso leaves (optional)

How to Make Chicken Teriyaki

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 3 steps you must follow to make Chicken Teriyaki in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Put the chicken in a bowl, add the * ingredients and mix well until just combined to make the teriyaki sauce.
  • Step 2
  • Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Sear the chicken on both sides until browned. Add the teriyaki sauce and simmer. Shake the pan from time to time and baste the chicken to glaze with the sauce.
  • Step 3
  • Top with shredded shiso leaves to finish (optional)
