  • 200 g Chicken breast, cubed
  • 1 tbsp Garam masala
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp Turmeric
  • 1 pinch Dried red chilli
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1 thumb Fresh Ginger
  • 4 tbsp Plain yoghurt
  • 2 leaves Lettuce
  • 2 Pita bread

How to Make Chicken Tikka Pita Pockets

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 7 steps you must follow to make Chicken Tikka Pita Pockets in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Measure out your garam masala, cumin, turmeric, salt and chilli into a bowl.
  • Step 2
  • Grate the garlic and ginger into a pulp
  • Step 3
  • and add the pulp to your bowl of spices. Mix well with a spoon.
  • Step 4
  • Next add the natural yoghurt and mix well.
  • Step 5
  • Add the chicken pieces to the marinade and combine well with your hands. Let this sit in the fridge for 15 minutes.

  • Carefully place each chicken piece under a medium/high grill for 5 mins each side. Don't be tempted to pan fry this chicken - it doesn't work well.
  • Step 7
  • Serve with lettuce in warm pita bread. With rice is another optional serving suggestion
