  • 1 clove Garlic - finely chopped
  • 1 thumbnail's worth Finely chopped ginger
  • 1 Sliced red chili peppers
  • 1/2 tbsp Sake
  • 1 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 dash Salt
  • 1 dash Pepper
  • 15 grams Butter
  • 1 Lemon wedges

How to Make Chicken with Green Onion, Butter and Soy Sauce

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 8 steps you must follow to make Chicken with Green Onion, Butter and Soy Sauce in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces with an even thickness. Lightly season with salt, pepper and katakuriko.
  • Step 2
  • Remove the roots from the green onion and cut into 2 cm lengths.
  • Step 3
  • Heat half of the butter in a frying pan and fry the chicken from Step 1. Continue until the chicken is cooked through to the middle, then transfer to a serving plate.
  • Step 4
  • Heat the remaining butter in the frying pan, fry the garlic and ginger, then add the green onion. Season with sake, soy sauce and salt and pepper.
  • Step 5
  • Top the chicken with the green onion mixture from Step 4, and drizzle on some lemon juice.
  • Step 6
  • This is the green onion I used.
  • Step 7
  • Soak the onion roots from Step 2 in water, and you can grow your own. Change the water daily.
  • Step 8
  • Here are the roots from Step 7, about ten days later. There is enough to use in 2 - 3 servings of miso soup.
