  • 2 chicken legs
  • 4 longanisa (Filipino Sausage)
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped basil
  • 10 stick thyme
  • 1/4 cup cilantro
  • 1/2 tbsp fennel
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1/2 tsp garlic salt
  • 1 ground black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 salt
  • 1 sea salt

How to Make Chicken-Wrapped Sausage

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 6 steps you must follow to make Chicken-Wrapped Sausage in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Preheat oven to 350°F
  • Step 2
  • De-bone chicken legs if needed. Season inside meat with salt and pepper. Put aside.
  • Step 3
  • In a bowl, mix together longanisa (skin removed), green onion, basil, cilantro, thyme, oregano, fennel, ground black pepper, garlic salt, and cayenne. Divide mixture in half.
  • Step 4
  • Wrap sausage mixture inside the chicken leg.
  • Step 5
  • Score outside of chicken leg then tie with twine. Season with sea salt to crisp the skin.
  • Step 6
  • Bake in oven for about 45 minutes then broil on high for about 2 minutes.
