Ingredients: Chilaquiles

  • 6 corn tortillas
  • 7 eggs
  • 1 can spicy tomato sauce..i use el pato
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can sliced olives
  • 1 green onion
  • 1/2 cup oil

How to Make Chilaquiles

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 5 steps you must follow to make Chilaquiles in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Rip tortillas into pieces, any size as desired. fry in oil until semi crunchy. continue frying in greased skillet.
  • Step 2
  • pour over tomato sauce a little at a time, adding an egg here and there, stirring it all together, until eggs fully cooked. mix in cheese until melted.
  • Step 3
  • Mix in olives, then top with green onion. slap a ladle-ful on a plate and your good to go! my mother in law likes to make it with a little chorizo and a half can of corn, was delicious!
  • Step 4
  • you can add in whatever you think will be good, feel free to experiment, just let me know of you do so i can try it too!
  • Step 5
  • maybe some chopped potatoes?
